Ever since I started watching news as a child I have been particularly fascinated by what makes communication successful or unsuccessful. This led to an MA in Political Communications. I wrote a dissertation on speechwriting, for which I interviewed a number of speechwriters who worked for British Prime Ministers and leaders of the Opposition over the last thirty years.

Since then I have been working as a speechwriter and ghostwriter. Within the first eighteen months, my assignments had included a keynote speech for a Parliamentary committee on international terrorism, a Policy Briefing at US Congress, an international cultural conference, and a speech on global economics for an academic audience at a US Ivy League University.

I am always learning more about what makes speeches work, and one of the joys of the job is being able to put this passion into practice each day.

Creative writing is also a hobby; I have written a play, a humorous gift book, and currently have a short film script at the early stages of production.
